Case Officer at PTS

Do you want to work with socially important issues in a context where technology, law, and international cooperation meet? We are now looking for a case officer who wants to help drive and develop PTS's work in areas such as data retention for law enforcement purposes, secret coercive measures, and cross-border electronic evidence transfer. With us, you will have the opportunity to contribute to societal benefit in a field that is under strong development, both nationally and within the EU.

We work with what everyone takes for granted. The ability to communicate. With us, you will ensure that it works now and in the future. For everyone.

The position is located in the unit for trusted services and data retention. The unit works with two highly relevant and growing areas where PTS has an important mission in supervision, regulation, and collaboration. The work takes place in a development- and technology-focused environment where new tasks and responsibilities are added over time.

“My name is Johanna Eklund, and I will be your manager. It is important for me to create conditions for a workplace where employees thrive, are seen, and can develop. I value unpretentious collaboration, team spirit, and community so that we can work together towards our goals and feel motivation and joy at work.”

About the Role

As a case officer with us, you will contribute to the unit's and department's subject matters through work with supervision, internal investigations, regulation, and handling government assignments and consultations. You will inform and communicate with market actors on issues where PTS has assignments and collaborate with other authorities as well as national and international actors. The role also involves representing PTS in various collaboration forums, working groups, and expert groups, both nationally and within the EU. You will work in a changing environment where parts of the area of responsibility are under development, and where interest in technology and the ability to communicate clearly and professionally are central.

About the Team

The unit consists of about 14 employees who work closely together in our subject areas. We have an open and unpretentious work climate where collaboration, knowledge sharing, and shared responsibility are a natural part of everyday life.

About You

To succeed in the role, you are collaborative and find it easy to work together with people from different backgrounds and competencies. You work in a structured manner, can prioritize and meet deadlines, and express yourself clearly and professionally in both speech and writing. You are stable, thrive in change, and can handle situations where all conditions are not yet entirely clear.

Your personal qualities are important to us, which is why we will place great emphasis on these.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • A degree in a relevant field, such as political science, economics, or law. Alternatively, equivalent university credits in a relevant area.
  • Several years of experience in qualified work at a government agency or within the public sector.
  • Good ability to express oneself in speech and writing, in Swedish and English.

It is also advantageous if you have:

  • Work experience or qualified education in EU law, cybersecurity, or information security.
  • Experience from regulatory activities, i.e., supervision, regulation, or decisions affecting individuals.
  • Relevant experience in information provision or communicative work.
  • Experience working in support systems and the ability to suggest changes in working methods or process development.

Our Offer

We take life seriously. With us, you can have a life both at work and outside of it. If you feel good, we feel good. Therefore, we offer competitive salaries, flexible working hours, and the possibility of remote work. We also have generous wellness benefits and two wellness hours every week.

Additionally, you will receive favorable conditions for lunch, vacation, parental leave, pension, and in case of illness. Here, you will work in modern activity-based premises at Hälsingegatan 38. As a government agency, we offer a safe and stable work environment where you can feel secure. We are creating tomorrow's society and must stay at the forefront. With us, you will continuously grow with tasks.

Good to Know

The position is a permanent employment with an initial probationary period of six months. Placement in Stockholm with a start as soon as possible by agreement. Your job title will be case officer.

To ensure a fair and objective assessment of your qualifications, we ask you not to include a photo, personal identification number, or address in your CV. We have chosen not to request a cover letter as we instead use selection questions. This is to focus on your experience and qualifications, which contributes to a more efficient and fair recruitment process. Tests will be included in the process. If you have protected information, please contact our HR specialist.

For further information, please contact unit manager Johanna Eklund at [email protected] or HR specialist Isabelle Flygelholm at [email protected]. For questions related to our local trade union organizations, please email [email protected] or [email protected].
